Brenna Humphreys is the co-founder of Concentric 360, a boutique visual capture and documentation agency. Brenna spent ten years as a Senior Writer in the Creative Department at RPA where she won multiple advertising and branded content/entertainment awards. She has written about marketing for Inman News and other publications. She holds a BFA from NYU and an MFA in Creative Fiction from Antioch University. She has been a member of the UCLA Wordcommandos writing group and has had her fiction published in Southwest Missouri State University Press - Proud to Be: Writing By American Warriors and Dream Catcher: A Writers Coffeehouse Anthology. When not working or writing she’s usually hanging out with her husband and kids, walking her 120-pound Anatolian Shepherd, or working (endlessly) on her tennis serve.

L.A. Affairs: For my husband, there’s no such thing as can’t. Then cancer entered our lives
The sun has just set over the Palos Verdes hills, and the tennis court lights are buzzing to life. I’m enjoying time with my husband, Steve, standing between clean lines on the deep blue courts made bluer by the artificial glow. It feels familiar and self-contained, the two of us alone in our little rectangle-shaped world. I almost believe that everything’s going to be OK, despite the phone call we just had.
